R. O'Hara Lanier reopened in the 1995-1996 school year as Lanier Middle School. We are located in Freeport at 522 North Avenue B behind Velasco Elementary School. Our school colors are green and white. Our school mascot is a Lion. We currently have 476 students enrolled in both 5th and 6th grade. Ethnic distribution: African-American - 13.7%, Hispanic 64.7%, Pacific/Asian 0%, White 18.5%, Native American 0%.
