To the Lanier Community,
Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year! We have a great year planned for the Lions and look forward to partnering with all of our Parents, Guardians, and Community members to help EVERY student experience success throughout the year.
In the 2015-2016 school year, our young Lions had many successes both in and out of school. Our students grew more on their standardized tests than at any other campus in the area! We also had some pioneers lay the foundation with our new intramural basketball team and performed well in multiple fine arts contests throughout the year.
This year we are reaching for the stars, and cannot wait to see what our students will achieve. We have several programs we want to make sure you are all aware of:

EmpowerEd will provide a Chromebook to every student for their use 24/7

We will continue our Basketball program and expand to Soccer

Students will have even more opportunities to participate in academic competitions like: Spelling Bee, Academic UIL and Chess

Students will track their own learning throughout the year in a program called “Schoology” using their Chromebook and in a data binder they will carry each day

We will host four academic nights throughout the year, which are already scheduled and visible on the school calendar on our new and improved website

We have started a brand new PTO and are actively seeking volunteers and board members!
